A First Post

So it begins....
After two years of oil painting and one year after moving into a working studio/gallery at LibertyTown Arts Workshop,
I have just completed my first show at a wonderful venue, Bistro Bethem, a fine restaurant and display space, with my studiomate Ariel Freeman.
I cannot describe the feeling of joining such welcoming and supportive art community in Fredericksburg, VA. Standing in the middle of a hundred people, sharing my most personal works of art, and offering them for sale is something I never imagined possible. I have so many mentors , friends, and family guiding me along the way that I am eternally grateful for.
Now on to the next art adventure- I am excited to have my newest painting, Eleven, in the new About Face: Portrait Show in the main gallery of LibertyTown.
In December, I will be delivering my signature piece, All These Changes, to Mary Washington's Ridderhof Gallery for the January opening of the 2010 Mid-Atlantic juried art show.
An honor that gives me hope that I am heading in the right direction as an artist.
