Wheelthrowing Party at FA

On Friday, October 5th, our 4th graders Rachel, Sara, and Saba joined big brother Ben for a wheel-throwing party. The family won the class through our annual FA auction- where parents and any other guests can bid for an activity, such as a private clay class. Congratulations, Turmans, on winning the class and creating some beautiful clay bowls!  They learned the basics of controlling the clay, safety methods, and clean-up. Our school year is going very smoothly, and we meet our first guest artist of the year on October 18th. She is none other than CATHY AMBROSE SMITH, local mosaic artist!!  We will be designing a permanent outdoor mosaic installation of giant panels in our breezeway, and can't wait to start.!
